Lucasfilm Bought by Disney
So have you heard?
Of course you had.
Well I didn't know any deal was in the works, so I was quite shocked. Although honestly my reaction was not quite as dramatic as I wish it would be because I was busy memorizing audit-ish things for my midterm when I heard the news.
I mean how could Lucas do that? Star Wars was like his love child with something called awesomeness. It's like giving up his baby for adoption when (it seems like) he can take care of it on his own. I mean sure us fans have this love-hate relationship with him which might have scared him off to retiring, but we are not that annoying, are we?
Honestly, I don't like the idea. I don't like the idea of Disney probably tweaking it even a lot further than Lucas did. I don't want it to be just another money making kingdom with 'eh' quality new products. I don't want people pushing it to have new sequels or remakes just to rip off the young generations. I mean, Disney is planning on making new features every 2-3 years. Assuming I will live for another 60 years (some wishful thinking), there will be 20 new Star Wars films by the time of my death. 20 films? How are they going to maintain the quality? And the freshness of the story? New films can easily be the next Cars 2, or Pirates of The Caribbean 4. Sure, people (and me, a seasonal hypocrite) will still see it but come on, quality over quantity Disney! You don't want us to go see a movie then immediately bitch about it, do you?
In the other hand though, maybe it's not the worst idea in the world. Names like JJ Abrams and Brad Bird have been put out to direct episode 7, 8, or 9. Good hands they have. And Lucas will still be consulted for the next movies so we can't really choose to not take a chance right? It's not like Lucas was planning to do the franchise any more good. Seeing it now, this deal can turn out good or bad, there's still no way of telling. All we can do is wait for 2015 to see how Disney set the bar for the first ever new Star Wars film by Disney.
Just to be clear, make new Star Wars all you want Disney, but there will never be any butterflies in my stomach like there were when Han said "My hands are dirty too, what are you afraid of?" in episode 5.
Just saying.

Prometheus – An honest review of a stupid person?
- In the opening scene, where did it take place? Why did he drink gooey shit?
- Just what the fuck is that scary black goo?
- Why did the rest of the engineers die?
- Seriously what is up with the mural? Talk about creepy...
- What did Dave actually say to the awoken engineer?
- How did the living engineer find out that Shaw was still alive after the crash and everything?
- Why is there an alien coming out of the engineers body?
- How would David know where to go to the place of the maker of the Engineers?
- How could Shaw trust David again?
- So who made us?

Meesa Back?
First and foremost, I would like to say I am sorry for the annoying title. I don't know why but I kind of feel Bink-ish right now.
Anyways this is completely out of topic (not that I have already started a topic) but I just heard some cock-a-doodle-doos at 2:10 am, seriously what is up with that? Stupid chicken... Wait, there's another cock-a-doodle-doo. I guess the stupid son of a dingbat just doesn't feel like sleeping.
So anyways I guess I'll be back writing here! Nothing fancy, just some random thoughts, ideas, jabbers, the usual. I just installed the official blogger client on my cell phone so I guess I'll be more active and encouraged.
So yeah I guess that is it! Actually I had nothing to write, just giving you a heads up for a serious, awesome blog revival.
Bye! And just stay on the look out for the upcoming posts and shits!

Stormtrooper
I was completely gone for two months and 2 days to be exact and now I'm back with a new background. Not completely gone, actually. I did put on an effort or two to write reviews on films I watched but I have not seen so many of them lately. TV shows takes up most of my spare time and I think the quality of my brain is declining. All I watch is comedy. Thank God my favorites are still NBC sitcoms instead of some reality show on MTV (yes I'm looking at you, Jersey Shore) so at least I can say I'm still a little bit smart.
So about the background, it's a stormtrooper! Maybe some of you already acknowledge my love of Star Wars, probably from some references I use here on my blog, in my tweets, anywhere really. Or, probably from seeing my PPW (Perancangan dan Pemrograman Web - Web Programming and Design) homework, which design theme was Star Wars (which was completely unrelated to my website content. I'm an idiot, really). So yeah I just thought, why not channel my weird love through my blog for the whole world to see. I apologize in advance if you consider this as a public display of affection (which it is, in a weird way).
So now about the stormtrooper, (sorry for FINALLY getting to the point, my mind likes to wander around) why a stormtrooper? There are so many characters in Star Wars (hell, I still can't remember ALL the names), why choose that, the usually weak-minded underdog in the franchise? Basically, it's just because everybody loves a Stormtrooper, so I'm reaching a wider audience (if I'm reaching any). I could've chosen Han, but I'll only please the scoundrel-loving ladies. I could've chosen Leia with the slave costume but I'll only reach the male audience. I could've chosen Tarkin and please the hipster fans. Or, I could've chosen Jar Jar and please nobody. Instead, I chose a stormtrooper, the one everybody loves. The definition of cool. The mainstream favorite.
Oh forget that. I was bulshitting. I chose it because it's easy to find.
Anyways I found the background on http://www.collthings.co.uk/2010/05/star-wars-wallpaper-pictures.html. They got some cool stuffs, so get your ass over there and look around. And I hope me using the image as a background is not a copyright infringement or anything. I'm just a broke student so if someone sues me, it's straight to jail and no bail (hey that rhymes!).
So yeah I hope you enjoy the new background. Oh and new blog description! Nothing good, just something I got from the top of my head. And by the way thanks for reading! See you next time!
Bye!
