This Semester and The Passion to Study

blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com
This reflects my current education life perfectly...

Wow what I wrote stings me a little.
Yeah, this semester I'm in the laziest point of my education life. Well uh, probably not. I used to be lazier when I was in elementary school but I think it didn't count since everyone could understand things effortlessly in elementary school. Now in college? Urgh, in my dreams I could, but I never even have a good dream, nightmares everyday, so there's no possibility I can understand things while doodling in classes and watching tv serials all night.

Well this semester is about to end, and most likely it's not going to end well, but yeah I think I'll put some efforts to this little time I got. So, I googled how to be diligent how to concentrate bla bla bla and here are what I found.

Remove Distraction (uncheck)
Ok I think this is the main thing to be done but come on, everyone knows doing this is the hardest thing to do. Think, how can we even remove distraction when we're distracted? That's the point, I'm distracted all the time. Main distraction, well uh I think it's my blackberry. Probably some of you will tell me to get rid of it but I just can't because I need it, frankly saying I can't live without it! Well it helps me a lot in communicating but in the other side it distracts me a lot. I really don't know what to do towards this problem.

Get everything you need for your revision (check)
Well I think I always do this while studying, besides my room is small. No need to stand and walk to grab things, all I need to do is just, reach out.

Prioritize (uncheck)
To be honest, it's not a really hard thing to do, but when I have another option that offers me more fun, how can I deny that?

Use time efficiently, make schedule (check)
Believe it or not, I do make it. But why is it still useless anyway? See the next point.

Devote yourself (uncheck)
You get it, don't you? What's the point of making a schedule when I don't stick to it. I'm just pretty good at planning, but I do suck big time in making things real.

Actually there are some more but I think only these caught my eyes earlier (Actually it's not it. I'm just too lay to read on, I'm very distracted atm but I wanna finish this post asap). Well I think I'm not so bad, 2 checked out of five.

Blank

I just had my PPSI (Principles of Information System) final. It was the blankest moment of my life. Well, I did study but only the night before. Absorbing five chapters of course was astronomical. So I was totally blanked today.

But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? I had much time during the final because I didn't know what to write on my answer sheet, so my mind went everywhere. I came to a thought that it was all my fault, not being able to answer the problems. Well, it was. And I blame no one but myself. I hate myself for being lazy all the time. So I had a really illuminating moment too when I was blanked. I swore to myself I will try hard to get rid of my bad habit, being lazy. I hope I will succeed.

Actually I could have cheated there, but I just didn't feel like it. I want it to be a fair game for everyone, who studied will succeed and who didn't, like me, will fail. I thank God for giving me such moment that woke me up from my lazy little world. Now it's all up to God and the lecturer, what meant to be will be. If I fail, I'm so ready to take the class again. If I succeed, well I don't put much expectation onthis, but if I succeed, I will be thankful of course.

Thank God for giving me such moment, it's an honor having you enlightening my life each time,

Peace, Love, and Respect,

Being a Part of Three Families

(originally written on December 10th 2009)
In life, we need company, and we all know that family is a really essential company in our life. Without a family, we would not have existed. Well, that's our biological family, but here, I'm not only talking about biological family but also other kind of family, the one that you also call a family although you have no common grandpas or grandmas.

Well, my first family, my biological family, named Muis, is not a really big one. A father, a mother, and three children, all girls :) I can't say that my family is perfect because I know it is not, not even close. But at least in all the imperfectness we can always have fun. I can say that my family have a kind of our own sense of humor, we have many inside jokes. Dad, the type who loves to laugh at stupidities. Mom? Not really funny, but she laughs on our jokes, at least she understands our jokes. The three girls, including me, laugh on nonsenses. Well yeah the girls (I know, including me) are the one with the weirdest sense of humor. Many people will have no clue why are we laughing on something, surely. We laughs on random things, e.g. this line on Gossip Girl “My name is Marcus Beaton. I'm a British and a lord” (with British accent. Anyway I don't really remember the line, but it's something like that). You may find it not funny right? But me and my sister do find it funny, in our own way, let's just say, the Muis way. Sometimes yeah we are kinda “Humphrey”, cheesy it is, but when cheesy meets cheesy it will produce uncheesiness (whatever you call it, I made up the word). Yep my family is unique, positively, and I'm glad to be a part of it :)

My second family, Q Fam, can't recall when we officially became a family, because probably deep inside we became brothers and sisters since before we made it official. Well, we haven't met each other (well some have) since we all spread all around the world (on all continent but Africa). It all started on Ryan Conferido's facebook group made by the awesome Alicia Tan and Wanjing. Some people happened to post on the wall or on the discussion boards kinda often so we got to know each other. We added others on facebook, getting closer and closer. We share anything about Quest Crew and other random things. We also had projects on special events and we worked on them together, made us closer also. We also chat a lot on chatroll or anywhere, but actually I've been kinda MIA lately :(( blame homeworks!!! We've been through great times and hard times but don't worry, family members are always there for other family members <3>

1.no home (we've planned to have a headquarter in the future anyway when we have enough money, Questopia anyone?)
2.no mom and dad, just brothers and sisters
3.we never met (we've planned to gather in our headquarter too in the future)

Hopefully our plans will come true :D I just can't wait to meet my awesome brothers and sisters who have been a great online company in my life :) Love you guys, proud to be a part of the Q Fam :)

The third one is Fasilkom, stands for Fakultas Ilmu Komputer - Faculty of Computer Science - just in case you don't know (yep some people mistaken it for Ilmu Komunikasi). Yep, it's not just a faculty, it's far more than that, a family. Well can't say much about this one because honestly it has been only a week since I officially became a part of the family. But I just know this family is awesome, and I'm sure this family will be a great company for me for the next four years, and hopefully not only for four years, but forever :)

Being a part of one family, well that's something that almost everyone experienced. Being a part of two families? Well not so many experienced this one. If you did, you should be very grateful because I know it feels so damn great. For me, it doubled my happiness. Now being a part of three families? Thankfully I'm one of not so many who experience this one. It has been so dope, like WOW that's just too awesome to be true, but it is! But yeah with so many families, responsibility increased. We have to smartly allocate our time for each family, making sure that no one left behind, because that's what a family is :)

I love you all so much my families :)
Always make sure that no one left behind,

Idul Adha and Thanksgiving

Today is Idul Adha, the day when many poor animals are being slayered XD Ok, they're not slayered, they are just being killed for good (Hey this sentence really brings the wise out of me lol).

Well sadly, today is not a really good day for me. It's not even afternoon yet but I just knew. It would have been a great day if I had some people to celebrate it with but in fact I didn't. I think I will end up digging my nose to discrete math books today instead. Tomorrow will be another torture, the second discrete math test. Hopefully I will do good.

And, it's Thanksgiving out there in the US. Well, we don't celebrate it here in Indonesia, but I just want to say that I'm really really thankful for many things in my life e.g.:
Happiness,
Family,
Friends,
Campus,
Priviledges,
...

Well it's really hard to make a list because the list will go on and on and on and will never end because there are just soooooooo many things in life I'm thankful for. And actually it's including YOU! yes YOU! I'm thankful for you who is reading my blog :p Don't forget to come back anytime soon ok? XD

Well, I shouldn't feel blue today. Time to start digging my nose.

Wish me luck for tomorrow, please?

Eid Mubarak, Happy Thanksgiving :)

Fear

What do you fear?

Tough question. At least to me, it's hard to answer. Sometimes it's just hard for us to admit that we fear something. It was hard for me but not anymore.

Months ago, my sister asked me when she wanted to fill a facebook note (the tagging stuff, you know...), "what do you fear?". I answered something that I forgot. I forgot because maybe, it was not my fear, I just made that up. Then I asked back, "what about you?". Then she said," I fear rejection. Don't you fear the same thing?". And I said "No.". Now I know I lied. Well maybe I didn't lie, I just didn't know.

Now I know, I fear rejection, failures, and disappointing others. I realized it just a few hours ago. Today I let people down. I freaked out, I cried, I sweated heavily, my mood crashed, and I felt so terrible. And I started to realize, it always happens to me when I feel rejected or when I let people down. Maybe people would just say "ignore what they say, it's not your fault", but I just can't not care. When I find out that I let people down, I'll start to think that I'm the worst person in the world. Maybe I really am, but thinking about it makes me feel so bad.

At least, now I've admited. It's a good headstart I think. How can you beat an enemy that you don't even know yet?

One advice from me, when you're down, think about alvin and the chipmunks singing a song for you. That's what I did. Their chipmunk voice helps, really :) I thought about this song:

"Christmas christmas time is near,
Time for toys and time for cheers,
We've been good but we can last,
Hurry christmas hurry fast,
Want a plane that loops the loop,
Me I want a hula hoop,
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please christmas don't be late"

I don't even know wether the lyric is right, that's what I remember. I like the rhymes anyway :) in fact I don't even celebrate christmas, but I'm looking forward to it because alvin and the chipmunks the squeakquel will be on theaters on christmas say. Like what DTrix said "we're coming to a theater near you!". :p yes, Quest Crew and Beat Freaks are in the movie. Makes me feel more excited :)

Thanks to friends who are just so cool to be true,
Thanks to Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, for singing a song for me in my mind,
Thanks to Q Fam and Quest Crew and Jabbawockeez, thinkin about you all always makes me feel much better,
Thanks to people whom I let down, you made me realize what I fear. And I'll try to not disappoint you next time :),
Thanks to Mom and Dad for letting me enter this world. This world is really beatiful. :)
Thanks to God who gave me those people above.

YOU ALL ARE THE BUCCEST!
