The Lame-ass Blog and The Lame-ass Writer

I was just digging through my blog posts. I went back as far as 2009 and man I sucked. I mean really, it was like I had no idea what the definition of ‘being cool’ is because surely I was not cool. My posts were poorly written (not that now they aren’t), and the topics were too personal, I believe no one who visited this blog ever truly get what I was writing about.

And the signature, oh God. Don’t get me started on the signature. Peace, Love, and Respect? What was I thinking? I was not some kind of a rapper with a lame-ass catchphrase, why was I acting like I was from ‘the hood’?

HOW COULD I BE SO LAME?

I really should have gotten a life coach, life mentor, or something like that. The 15-year-old me really had no idea about any shits, simply clueless. And why didn’t anyone ever tell me ‘YOUR BLOG SUCKS, GET A LIFE DORK!’? Someone should have, so I would wake up and see the world and just be awesome.

Well that’s a phase of my life I’m not really proud of. But I’m not going to delete any posts because next year I would re-read this blog and laugh at myself all over again. I should have this as a wake-up call everytime I re-read this. It’s good though, now I can see how much I have evolved through the years, being a better person overall, maturing to the maybe-awesome young adult years.

So what about you guys, any dark times? Typ1nG th15 w4Y m4yB3? Or getting a self-shot picture from like… above your heads? Or simply acting like you’re so from ‘the hood’ like I did?

Prometheus – An honest review of a stupid person?

**WARNING MAJOR SPOILER ALERT! Do not proceed if you cannot handle me being a funsucker**

Do you know the first word that came out of my mouth right when the film just ended?

DAFUQ???

Hi I am Ridley Scott and this is Prometheus. Do you want some answers with that?”

Maybe you would thought that I said that because of a major plot twist or cliffhanger at the end of the movie but no. I simply just did not get the whole thing. It was more like “What the fuck did I just watch?”.

I am sure Ridley Scott is a brilliant filmmaker. I mean, who am I to deny the talent of a Sir? He clearly changed the game in the science fiction film industry. But this one work of him, I just think it is not for me. In some ways it is really great, the actions, the effects, the gore.. inargueable. But on the other hand, there are just too many riddles. Sometimes too many puzzles are just too hard to take for a person. I had so many questions about the films: the storyline, the background, even about what a scene actually means. Some of them are:
  1. In the opening scene, where did it take place? Why did he drink gooey shit?
  2. Just what the fuck is that scary black goo?
  3. Why did the rest of the engineers die?
  4. Seriously what is up with the mural? Talk about creepy...
  5. What did Dave actually say to the awoken engineer?
  6. How did the living engineer find out that Shaw was still alive after the crash and everything?
  7. Why is there an alien coming out of the engineers body?
  8. How would David know where to go to the place of the maker of the Engineers?
  9. How could Shaw trust David again?
  10. So who made us?
The list goes on and on. There are just so many things to speculate that I was just left wondering what was it that Sir Ridley was actually trying to tell the audience.

I am a fan of open-ended films. You got some cliffhangers? Bring it on. But this one is just so much to take in 2 hours. Hell, maybe I still won't get it even if I watch it over and over again. The thing is though, this film got a decent tomatometer, 70ish on Rotten Tomatoes. So maybe, I'm just the one in a million who doesn't like the film just because I am too stupid.

And just some bits of wisdom from me, sometimes some questions are better left unanswered. A question about who made us is a potential starter of a chain reaction. Once you found out about the answer, then you will start asking “,who made our maker?”, and when you found out the answer you will start asking “, so who made our maker's maker?”, and the loop goes on and on. Trying to get an answer of a question of the past with such a huge effort and low chance of success, is it really worth it? Well as for me, I will just try to live in the moment.

Just try to live on, suckers.

Meesa Back?

First and foremost, I would like to say I am sorry for the annoying title. I don't know why but I kind of feel Bink-ish right now.

Anyways this is completely out of topic (not that I have already started  a topic) but I just heard some cock-a-doodle-doos at 2:10 am, seriously what is up with that? Stupid chicken... Wait, there's another cock-a-doodle-doo. I guess the stupid son of a dingbat just doesn't feel like sleeping.

So anyways I guess I'll be back writing here! Nothing fancy, just some random thoughts, ideas, jabbers, the usual. I just installed the official blogger client on my cell phone so I guess I'll be more active and encouraged.

So yeah I guess that is it! Actually I had nothing to write, just giving you a heads up for a serious, awesome blog revival.

Bye! And just stay on the look out for the upcoming posts and shits!

Stormtrooper

Well hello there.

I was completely gone for two months and 2 days to be exact and now I'm back with a new background. Not completely gone, actually. I did put on an effort or two to write reviews on films I watched but I have not seen so many of them lately. TV shows takes up most of my spare time and I think the quality of my brain is declining. All I watch is comedy. Thank God my favorites are still NBC sitcoms instead of some reality show on MTV (yes I'm looking at you, Jersey Shore) so at least I can say I'm still a little bit smart.

So about the background, it's a stormtrooper! Maybe some of you already acknowledge my love of Star Wars, probably from some references I use here on my blog, in my tweets, anywhere really. Or, probably from seeing my PPW (Perancangan dan Pemrograman Web - Web Programming and Design) homework, which design theme was Star Wars (which was completely unrelated to my website content. I'm an idiot, really). So yeah I just thought, why not channel my weird love through my blog for the whole world to see. I apologize in advance if you consider this as a public display of affection (which it is, in a weird way).

So now about the stormtrooper, (sorry for FINALLY getting to the point, my mind likes to wander around) why a stormtrooper? There are so many characters in Star Wars (hell, I still can't remember ALL the names), why choose that, the usually weak-minded underdog in the franchise? Basically, it's just because everybody loves a Stormtrooper, so I'm reaching a wider audience (if I'm reaching any). I could've chosen Han, but I'll only please the scoundrel-loving ladies. I could've chosen Leia with the slave costume but I'll only reach the male audience. I could've chosen Tarkin and please the hipster fans. Or, I could've chosen Jar Jar and please nobody. Instead, I chose a stormtrooper, the one everybody loves. The definition of cool. The mainstream favorite.

Oh forget that. I was bulshitting. I chose it because it's easy to find.

Anyways I found the background on http://www.collthings.co.uk/2010/05/star-wars-wallpaper-pictures.html. They got some cool stuffs, so get your ass over there and look around. And I hope me using the image as a background is not a copyright infringement or anything. I'm just a broke student so if someone sues me, it's straight to jail and no bail (hey that rhymes!).

So yeah I hope you enjoy the new background. Oh and new blog description! Nothing good, just something I got from the top of my head. And by the way thanks for reading! See you next time!

Bye!
